Bailes pilots Big Frog Motorsports machine for XR 604 Nationals; runner-up outing in prelim
Teaming up with Big Frog Motorsports for the late-season weekend in Florida, Ross Bailes piloted the No. CO2 machine at at All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.) on Wednesday afternoon for the inaugural XR 604 Nationals.
Laying down the third-quickest lap in his time trial group, Bailes was placed in Thursday's preliminary field where he would start eighth in the evening's prelim. Ross made up six spots in the $5,000-to-win feature and ran runner-up to Michael Brown while Cody Overton completed the podium.
Locked into Saturday's $100,000-to-win finale, Bailes started fourth in the 60-lap feature and led laps 6-15 before a mechanical failure forced an early exit. He was scored 24th in the final running order.
