Bailes attends Dirt Track World Championship with Lucas Oil at Eldora
Heading North to join the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, Ross Bailes joined 61 other competitors at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Friday afternoon as the half-mile oval hosted the opening round of the 43rd running of the Dirt Track World Championship.
After Friday’s program was delayed to Saturday due to continuous rain, series’ and track officials made the decision to shift heat races scheduled for Saturday to Sunday with hopes for better track conditions.
On Sunday afternoon, Bailes finished fourth in his heat race which placed him on the pole position of his B-Main. Dealing with mechanical issues, Ross was a scratch in his B-Main.
