Podium showing with Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals at Sugar Creek

Over Memorial Day weekend, Ross Bailes and the AK Race Cars team planned to join the Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals for a three-day stretch starting at Sugar Creek Raceway (Blue Ridge, Ga.) on Friday afternoon.

Qualifying fourth-quickest in his group, Bailes started seventh in the 40-lap, $8,553-to-win feature and drove to a podium outing in third. He trailed Casey Roberts and Jordy Nipper while Garrett Smith and David Payne completed the Top-5.
